This philosophy runs through to how shoes should be made.
Old school shoes were constructed in a still and rigid fashion, where your feet MUST fit the shoe. But by throwing out the traditional and trying a new feet-first style of thinking, you can find a shoe that just feels right.
KickBack’s founder, in setting up, swore to simply make shoes the way they should be made.
With over two decades of experience in the shoe industry, he’s seen what had - and hadn’t - worked for customers.

Like any family, friends, or company for that matter, the best ones offer you support. The same can be said for shoes. All the best shoes offer you an element of comfort through support.
Whilst at KickBack we don’t promise professional orthopaedic perfection for everyone, we do offer everyday comfort through our specially designed soles.
Squishiness is the goal. Our low density lightweight sole is the polar opposite of the traditional hard sole, which you then have to make comfortable via the insole.
Our insole and entire supportive and comfortable sole unit act as cushioning for each step and have shock absorption for all day comfort.
Decker sole
The Decker sole, used on The Haven, offers the wearer stability at no extra weight. We’ve shaved off every gram possible but we’ve added sidewalls to prevent you slipping out of your shoe when pushing a shopping trolley or strolling with the dog. The extra traction, achieved by the tread gives everyday multifunctionality.
KickBack sole
The KickBack sole is our iconic kick back and relax sole. Used on the Couch and the Chaise, the KickBack sole has a wide, oversized comfort fit. It offers plenty of cushioning, and support for your toes to spread and for air to flow.

Our unique construction does it all. Shoes that look good, but just as importantly, they feel good too. Comfort is simply non-negotiable. It’s something that shouldn’t be sacrificed for style and KickBack’s foot-first design philosophy puts the needs of your feet first.
Carefully chosen materials mould to your feet, rather than forcing you to unnaturally bend for the shoes. Soft cushioning leaves little to desire in every step and the unique construction ensures no pinch or pressure points.

- Multi-use designs
We wanted to create versatile shoes. When your shoes are this comfy, it would be wasted if you only used them on the beach, or as a slipper. Instead we set our minds to creating a shoe that could be used in multiple places, with all the comfort, ease and support you need.
Kickdown Flexiheel
Through trial and design, we created a convertible shoe in the Couch and the Barbeach for the days where we need a little extra support and for the days where we just want to slide in quickly, by simply kicking down the heel. Often frowned upon by our parents, this time, you know you’re not wrecking the shoe - it's made for it.
We also made sure we had multifunctionality and stability in the Haven through elasticated laces so you can tighten and loosen as necessary, to match your lifestyle demands.
